700 miles of hiking trails make this the ideal spot for those who want some real space, and some room to take it all in. Be warned though, the wildlife here is known to be extremely active.
For those who like to climb and find treasures, this park is full of opportunity. The park is known for painted scenic rocks to scale, and fossils of all kinds to hunt for. Take plenty of water, this one is hotter than H-E double hockey sticks.
Red rock in crazy formations has people coming from around the world for this one. For a one of a kind camping experience, hike up and watch the sunsets behind arch filled skies. Pro tip- getting lost is easy here so keep track of where you've traveled.
Hunting and fishing galore. For those who camp for sport, you'll find this a little heaven on earth. Watch out for crowded times of the year. But as a huge perk, it's free to camp here.
Bodies of water are always a plus in our book. This site is also riddled with history, with several war sites as part of the terrain. Word to the wise it can get a little cramped, but it is free and will be a unique experience from your usual camping.

Lived in Montana for 5 yrs and it was absolutely breathtaking. Driving to Canada was less that 2 hours and Banff National park is a sight to behold. If you do hike etc..in Montana personal protection is must.
